Please check that your child is completing any set work.

African Adventure
The beginning of July sees our visit to Sizewell on 3rd/4th July. Two consent forms are attached (one from Sizewell and one from Suffolk County Council). These both need to be returned. Looking forward to a warm night in an African hut! If you have any concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact me. There is more information to follow. Again, assistance with transport there and back is greatly appreciated. The Friday sees the Summer Fair!
Summer Club
The Summer Club will run from Wednesday 23rd April from 3.45 to 4.45 pm. Please fill in a consent form if your child wishes to stay.
School Production
As in previous years, Years 4 and 5 play a crucial role in supporting Year 6 in the end of year production. This will be Scheherazade – but maybe not as you know it! The children will be involved on two evenings – Tuesday 8th July and Wednesday 9th July.
May 3rd
Mrs. Connolly has arranged a special concert for Mr. Connolly’s retirement, to celebrate his contribution to music education. You should have received a letter already. She is asking that Year 5 children attend. We hope they can make it.
Many of the children have taken extra responsibility within school over the year, ranging from running a lunchtime club for younger children, to assisting in putting away tables at the end of lunch. Thank you to all of them! Their help is invaluable and they make a real contribution to the running of the school.
Those who have chosen to do this have been consulted on different occasions and all timetables have been drawn up with them. Now the weather is improving, some may feel they would rather be outside. Whilst I can sympathise with this, the children need to understand that a commitment has to be fulfilled and sustained.
As always, should you have any concerns, please contact me.

The Tempest
Jevan Whittaker
In Year 5 Tim Davies came in to do some things about the Tempest. First we played a name game so that he could learn our names. Then we had to walk around the hall then when he said Ariel, Calaban or Sycorax we had to say a line they say in the play. Then we had to do a still picture of a part of the first paragraph.
Overall I've enjoyed the first two lessons because he gave up his time to work with us which was very nice of him. The Tempest

Every Monday a man called Tim Davies comes in to teach us drama. First he plays games with us. For example one game is where we all stand in a circle. Tim chooses someone to start, then that person has to chooses another person in the circle and has to say there name. After they've said there name they have to walk towards that person. If the person they're walking towards doesn't say another person's name, before they get there they're out. I enjoy doing drama with Tim. I'm looking forward to seeing The Tempest at the Wolsey Theatre.
